The East Prince Minor Basketball Association (EPMBA) is a non-profit community organization that offers children ages 4 to 14 an opportunity to participate in basketball. The league is open to children of all skill levels in the East Prince area. The EPMBA is currently the largest minor basketball program on Prince Edward Island. There are some 300 participants in 5 divisions and over 40 parent-volunteers.
VISION: To be recognized as a leading non-profit community sport organization in Prince Edward Island, through an infrastructure that provides a positive environment and enables the development of life skills through basketball.
MISSION: Our mission is to provide a positive environment for all participating East Prince area youth, coaches, and referees while promoting the sport of basketball. The EPMBA is dedicated to providing youth with a positive life experience through basketball. The EPMBA is committed to skill development, equal-playing time, sportsmanship, recreation, and FUN!.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
1.
To provide a volunteer based basketball league for East Prince area
youth to participate in.
2.
To foster and encourage personal & athletic growth, education
and development of all players, coaches and officials who participate in
our programs.
3.
To encourage equal participation and strong values of basketball,
such as teamwork and fair play within the Association.
4.
To encourage and promote volunteer involvement in basketball
through the Association. 5. To seek corporate and community support for the Association.
